CPD Evaluation

The evaluation form can be found online at http://cos2018.ca

  1. Login with the email address used during registration (if unknown, contact [email protected]).
  2. Evaluate and claim credits for the sessions you attend.
  3. After evaluating all of the attended sessions, download, print or email a copy of your Certificate of Attendance from the evaluation site.

The evaluation site will close on July 13. After this date, your credits will be transferred to your MAINPORT holding area, where you will need to record your learning outcomes. You will still have access to the site to download, print or email your certificate of attendance.

Note: We can only transfer your credits if you provide your Royal College ID number with your evaluation.

Message from the meeting chair

On behalf of the Canadian Ophthalmological Society and the COS Annual Meeting Planning Committee, we look forward to welcoming you to Toronto, Ontario from Thursday, May 31 to Sunday, June 3 for the 2018 COS Annual Meeting and Exhibition. This year our theme will be “Advocating for Evidence-Based Eye Health.”

As the premier venue for knowledge transfer in our field, we will host 19 international keynote speakers and will present 55 sessions offering new perspectives in ophthalmology including cutting-edge surgical innovations, state-of-the-art advances in ophthalmic diagnostics and evidence-based updates. Looking forward to the COS named lecture, this year we have invited Dr. Steven Bellemare from the Canadian Medical Protective Agency (CMPA) to speak on the topic of change in team-based practice and medicolegal implications.

Learning Objectives

By participating in the 2018 meeting, attendees will:

  • Integrate into their practice, knowledge and skills gained from the sharing of Canadian and international research and scientific studies
  • Discuss recent advances in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases
  • Compare and contrast core concepts, new advances, and clinical experiences by networking with colleagues and internationally renowned keynote speakers
  • Enhance or develop new skills through hands-on learning experience in a Surgical Skills Transfer Course
  • Appraise new and innovative technology and discuss developments in treatment and medical devices with industry representatives in the Exhibition Hall
