CPD credits and evaluation

Learning objectives

At the end of this meeting, participants will be able to:

  • Describe novel developments and applications in retinal imaging
  • Identify the technological and technique-based advances in vitreoretinal surgery
  • Describe the imaging features and therapeutic options for retinal disease
  • Identify the evolving trends and practices of Canadian retina specialists in the management of retinal disease(s)

CPD credits

The 2017 CRS meeting is an accredited group learning activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC), and approved by the Canadian Ophthalmological Society (COS). Physicians may claim a maximum of 13.25 credits.

The 2017 CRS meeting is co-developed with the CRS and the COS to achieve scientific integrity, objectivity and balance as per the RCPSC's accreditation guidelines.

Through an agreement between the RCPSC and the American Medical Association (AMA), physicians may convert MOC credits to AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Information on the process to convert MOC credit to AMA credit can be found at Earning credit for participation in international activities.
