Continuing professional development credits and evaluation

CPD credits

The 2014 Sally Letson Symposium is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by the Canadian Ophthalmological Society. Physicians may claim a maximum of 20 Section 1 credits.

Through an agreement between the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert Royal College MOC credits to AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. See information on the process for converting Royal College MOC credits to AMA credits.

Note: This program is approved for CPD credits for ophthalmologists. Please check with your college or certifying body for your own certification guidelines.

Evaluation

Thank you for registering for the 46th Annual Sally Letson Symposium.

Evaluation is a required component of the RCPSC's MOC program. You will be asked to complete an evaluation of each session you attended in order to claim your CPD credits.

Claim your CPD credits online. It's simple and easy to use. Evaluation stations are available on the 4th floor at the Westin Ottawa or online at www.sls2014.ca.

The CPD evaluation will be active from Thursday September 18 until Friday October 3 midnight PT. Paper credit forms will be available at the registration desk or upon request if you miss the deadline. After this date, you may still login to print a copy of your final CPD certificate. This will be available until January 31, 2015.

How?

  • Step 1. Login with the email address used during registration (if unknown, contact [email protected]).
  • Step 2. Evaluate and claim credits for the sessions attended by October 3, 2014.
  • Step 3. After evaluating all of the attended sessions, download, print or email a copy of your certificate of attendance.
  • Step 4. After September 29, 2014, login to your Mainport holding area to add your learning outcome and claim your credits.

Please note: Evaluations received by midnight PT on October 3, 2014 will be transferred to the Mainport holding area. Evaluations received AFTER October 3, 2014 WILL NOT be transferred directly into the Mainport holding area.
