eyesite.ca - The New COS Information Service

The COS is looking to the future and has utilized the latest technology to produce a brand-new look to our Web site. Beyond the fresh new appearance, we believe we have incorporated features that will help you in your daily practice and will help you reach your educational goals.

In addition to the up-to-date information about our annual meeting, on-line registration and on-line submissions, we have many new features such as a members-only section.

To access the “Members-Only” pages, you will be asked for your User Name and ID number. Your User Name is your last name in capital letters and your ID number can be found on your mailing labels for the newsletter Perspectives or the Canadian Journal of Ophthalmology. Alternatively, you can contact the COS office for your ID number <[email protected]>. Once you have logged in, your name and address will automatically be filled in on subsequent forms.

One of the most exciting new elements is a password-protected forum section where members can discuss cases, political issues, etc. with each other. Members can provide comments and receive notification of replies received on the same topic. Also in the members-only section, all current members are listed along with their contact information. The database is searchable by name, city, province and subspecialty. As significant developments occur that we feel our members will need to be aware of, we will have the ability to update you by e-mail.

We are expanding our CJO coverage in the new year. In addition to the editorials, index and calendar of events normally included, the table of contents and abstracts will also be available. The links and calendar of events sections have been updated to provide the most current information possible.

For your convenience, payment of your membership dues and registration to the Annual Meeting can be made with the e-commerce feature on our secure server. Why don’t you check it out at eyesite.ca?
