Objectives
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- assess when retinal diseases can be treated by gene therapy
- describe the findings and treatment, when available, of
congenital abnormalities of the retina and retinal pigment
epithelium
- describe new findings in various research topics:
parainfectious optic neuritis, optic nerve hypoplasia,
eye alignment and strabismus surgery, retinoblastoma,
retinopathy of prematurity, persistent fetal vasculature,
cobalamin-C disease and amblyopia
