Job Summary

The Department of Surgery, Division of Ophthalmology at Niagara Health seeks a highly motivated physician with a passion for providing the highest quality care to join the NH Medical Staff as an Ophthalmologist. The selected candidate will have a proven track record of innovation and for providing exemplary patient care.

Niagara Health is a regional healthcare provider with multiple sites and a growing network of community-based and virtual services.

The Role

• The successful applicant will join a group of 8
• Provide full coverage of Medical and Surgical Ophthalmology Services
• Operative Interest in and experience with cataract surgery and traumatic eye injuries. Surgical experience in other areas of the eye will be considered an asset
• Community based consultations and care of medical ophthalmologic diseaseAssist in community and Niagara Health based consultations and care of ophthalmic diseases (Comprehensive Ophthalmologist)
• Successful applicant will be expected to provide local access to ophthalmology services, take emergency call and on-call for the hospital, and open an office in the region to assist with ophthalmic consultations
