Job Summary

The Division of Ophthalmology at the Gatineau Hospital in Quebec is inviting applications for a full-time ophthalmologist to join its team!

We are a collegial group of mostly young ophthalmologists servicing the Gatineau-Outaouais region, across the river from Ottawa. Our region is known for its outdoor life, Scandinavian spas, beautiful parks, water sports, and numerous biking paths which several ophthalmologists use to get to work. For those who enjoy a more urban lifestyle, Ottawa is a short bike ride
away.

We are affiliated with McGill University with its own local campus on site (Campus Outaouais). Applicants are encouraged to participate in teaching activities and may pursue scholarly activities.

The successful applicant will be allocated full OR privileges and regular time at our outpatient clinic for lasers and minor procedures.

Applicant Physicians must have licensure with the Collège des Médecins du Québec (CMQ) and have, or must be eligible, for certification in Ophthalmology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Fluency in French is a requisite and is required for licensure with the CMQ. Special consideration will be given to applicants with either a special interest or
fellowship.
