Glaucoma workshop: Breaking down the OCT

Learning objectives

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Evaluate an optic nerve imaging printout for the purpose of diagnosis of glaucoma
  • Identify common false positives in optic nerve imaging for glaucoma
  • Identify common false negatives in optic nerve imaging for glaucoma

This imaging workshop will include a review of basic principles of imaging interpretation, followed by a series of cases that have been selected by experts across Canada. These cases each have specific teaching points, including false positives, false negatives, glaucoma diagnosis, progression, nonglaucomatous pathology, as well as gnaglion cell analysis findings. The case discussions will be interactive, both between the 3 panelists as well as the audience, and is intended to include 30-35% interactivity.
